Help Save Llancaiach Fawr Manor!

Llancaiach Fawr ManorThank you so much to Ceri Creffield for letting me know about Caerphilly Council's plans to withdraw its subsidy of £485,000 per year to run Llancaiach Fawr Manor.

This is devastating news for the manor as it means that it could close, which would be a huge loss. As Ceri writes, "It's a unique and well-preserved Tudor mansion which has been furnished as in the Stuart period and visitors find themselves back in 1645 being greeted by the servants of the house. The servants never break character as they regale visitors with stories of life in the house, the Civil War and Colonel Pritchard and his family. It attracts a lot of praise and good reviews and brings many visitors into the area. It also hosts many community groups and events and weddings. The restaurant is very popular locally."
