Tudor Pottery
Saturday 20th July
Tudor fans are invited to the Mary Rose Museum on July 20th to create their own Tudor-inspired pottery piece. In collaboration with the local pottery studio Fatclay Pottery, participants will learn from experts – no previous pottery experience required.
The day begins with a talk from Dr. Alex Hildred, Head of Research at the Mary Rose Trust, who will discuss the pottery pieces found on the wreck site. Following this, visitors will enjoy a guided tour of the museum led by an expert team member. After a morning of inspiration and a lunch break, participants will have the opportunity to get creative. They will learn to sculpt clay, creating their own piece based on the museum's collection but with their own individual style and vision.
Please note: The event has a limited capacity of 12 participants. While tea and coffee will be provided, lunch will not be included.
