As an extra "Expert Chat" for August, we have a short presentation by author Livi Michael, author of Succession and the forthcoming Rebellion, who talks about Margaret Beaufort and much more. Livi is very kind to have shared this exclusive presentation with us - thank you Livi! It's an insight into how a historical fiction author gets inspiration from the sometimes larger-than-life things which happened in the past. The Tudor period was so rich in improbable things that it's been keeping writers occupied ever since.
Rebellion is a unique exploration of the middle phase of the Wars of the Roses, combining transcripts of original documents with novel. It focuses on two key women: Margaret of Anjou and Margaret Beaufort, and narrates the fall of the House of Lancaster. Livi Michael has written 12 novels for children and six for adults. Rebellion, published august 13th 2015 by Penguin Random House, is her second novel about Margaret Beaufort and the Wars of the Roses
