As you know, I've just been leading the Anne Boleyn Experience Tour with Philippa Brewell of British History Tours and as well as being the resident historian on the tour, answering questions on Anne Boleyn and Tudor history, I also did a talk on the other victims of May 1536, i.e. the five men who were executed, the two men who were imprisoned and released, and the families left behind.
I got rather carried away and talked for quite some time (oops!), and then stayed up talking Tudor into the early hours, so I then lost my voice! It really does serve me right! Anyway, as my voice is still not completely back to normal and I'm trying to rest it a bit, I thought that for this week's Claire Chats talk I'd share the talk I did at Hever - what a place to speak! I do hope you enjoy it.
If you're interested in coming on a historical tour with Philippa and me, then we are doing the Discover the Tudors Tour in September (seeing 12 historical attractions - yay!) and we're also busy planning tours for next year, including the Anne Boleyn Experience 2019. It was so lovely to meet some Tudor Society members and to put faces to names. Click here for details on the September tour and I'll post details on other tours as we release them.
