“Primary sources” is another name for contemporary sources, i.e. evidence such as letters, documents, chronicles, books, lists of expenses etc. from that period. Primary sources from the Tudor period allow us to learn what life was really like in Tudor times and what Tudor people really said and did. Tudor primary sources are vital for research.
