Happy Epiphany! In today's "on this day in Tudor history" video, I talk about the wedding of Anne of Cleves and Henry VIII, an event that took place on this day in 1540.
If you want to know more about Epiphany and how it was celebrated in Tudor times, you can click here to watch my Claire Chats video on it.
I wanted to tell you, I LOVE the graphics and sounds (music) at the beginning and end. Great job!
Thanks Michelle! I had fun learning how to do the particle effect, but now want to put it on everything! Perhaps if Claire gets angry about some topic, I can have steam coming from her head!
I love the descriptions of Anne’s dress! I can completely imagine it. I love that she had rosemary in her crown. I was born in Slovakia, and to this day all guests at a wedding wear pinned rosemary spring to their jackets/dresses. I think I read in Ruth Goodman’s book that rosemary was used this way in Tudor times too. And here is Anne’s Crown. Love it.
It does sound beautiful doesn’t it? I love these vivid descriptions and it would be wonderful to see a reproduction of it.
