In today's "on this day in Tudor history" video, we go back in time to 19th January 1547 and Henry Howard's end on the scaffold.
I'd highly recommend Jess Child's book Henry VIII's Last Victim: The Life and Times of Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey, it's excellent.
He was set up and murdered by the Seymour faction. Simple.
Rest in peace Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey. Evil be to him who evil thinks, or to his enemies Up Yours!
Rest in peace poet, soldier, courtier, man of the world, my hero, and may angles sing Thee to Thy rest. May perpetual light shine upon you. Amen. YNWA
Yes, I believe so.
