    Hello Teasel….I have to wonder about the marriage bed and being put to bed by the court after the marriage….I don’t think I want to know!

      In Tudor times, people don’t seem to have watched the actual act, but they did enjoy escorting the bride and groom to bed!

    I bet they listened outside the door though, it was a ceremony for the royal bride and bridegroom, bet the brides found it all rather embarrassing and the poor husband to, if he was just a callow youth.
